NAYAWIN
RAR LODGE #296 |
A Word
from the Chief
January 2010
Brothers of Nayawin Rar,
I’m excited to be working with you this coming year. Let us all come together and create ideas to serve us in a way that will make Nayawin Rar an even greater lodge than it already is!
The mission of the Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the Boy Scouts of America through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults. The Order of the Arrow is a Brotherhood of Cheerful Service, it is our duty to provide cheerful service to our council and community, both physically and financially. We need to increase our involvement in our council and community dramatically. We have the opportunity this year to be involved in the new nation-wide approach to service, as set forth by the National Order of the Arrow.
This coming year is also the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. The theme for this year’s conclave theme is Footsteps of our
Fathers. This theme allows us to look back on the history of Scouting and see where we have come so far. This will help us in order to look forward to where we are going to go in the future. I can’t wait to see you all at Camp Boddie April 16-18 for the 2010 Cardinal Conclave!
I would ask that you feel free to contact me or any of the other lodge leadership if you have any questions or need assistance. I look forward to working and serving with each and every one of you this coming year and to what is surely going to be an outstanding future!
